Remembering Debbie

Created by Angela 2 years ago
I first met Debbie when I joined the Billie Merrie School of Dancing (BMSD) back in 1998.  How can I describe her, well, she was warm, friendly, witty, always laughing, very caring and a beautiful person inside and out.  Wednesday nights and Saturdays with Debbie were a highlight of the week for me as I never knew how much laughing we would do during classes.  You referred to us dancing girls as 'your sisters' and it is a sisterhood that I am proud to have been a member of.  There were many happy times spent at Centre Parcs, Tap Weekends in Mablethorpe,  and latterly at Potters.  When you and I walked into the restaurant this year (to meet up with everyone for lunch) the look on the faces of the ladies there was wonderful to see, they were all so pleased that you were able to make it. What a time we had. There was fun, laughter and high spirits as usual and not forgetting the 'Human Fruit Machine' which you were clearly not going to miss! It didn't really matter where we were as we all knew, that we would spend our time laughing raucously (usually into the early hours) when 'our Debs' was around.  We often came home wanting another weekend away to recover!  The times we spent together were so special and ones I will keep with me forever.  Our recent journey's started together but due to fate we were taken on different routes.  Mine continues but with you whispering in my ear, 'Keep going Angie, you give me hope'.  You touched my life in a way I could never have imagined and miss you so very much. You were a true friend to many of us and you will live on in the memories that we will cherish forever.  Until we meet again. Angie xx
